Shipping Policy

1.1 Carriers & Service Levels

  • International Couriers: DHL, FedEx, UPS (preferred for UK/USA).
  • Local Postal Services: Royal Mail (UK), USPS (USA) when available.

Service Levels:

  • Standard: 7–10 business days post-Order Acceptance.
  • Express: 3–5 business days post-Order Acceptance.
  • Overnight (USA only): 1 business day, subject to availability in your zip code.

1.2 Shipping Costs & Fees

1.2.1 At checkout, shipping cost is calculated based on:

  • Destination country (UK or USA),
  • Service level chosen,
  • Package weight and dimensions,
  • Declared value of the shipment (for insurance).

1.2.2 Customs, Duties & Taxes:

  • You are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees imposed by UK/USA authorities.
  • We do not collect these fees at checkout.
  • Please check with your local customs office for estimated charges.

1.3 Order Processing Time

  • Non-Custom Orders: Dispatched within 3 business days of Order Acceptance.
  • Custom Orders: Processing time varies (typically 7–14 business days), as communicated at order placement.

1.4 Shipment Tracking & Delivery Attempts

  • Once shipped, you receive a tracking number via email from support@valamdesign.com.
  • Allow 24 hours for carrier to update tracking status.
  • If a delivery attempt fails, the carrier holds the package at a local facility. It is your responsibility to coordinate pickup or reschedule delivery.

1.5 Delivery Restrictions

  • No P.O. Boxes for Orders over USD 1,000 (or GBP 800). High-value orders require a physical address.
  • Signature Required for orders above USD 500 (or GBP 400).
  • Restricted Items: Some gemstones or designs may not be eligible for shipping to certain jurisdictions due to local regulations. If your address is ineligible, we will notify you promptly.

1.6 Shipping Address Changes

  • If your Order has not shipped, email support@valamdesign.com immediately to request an address change at no charge.
  • If the Order has shipped, you are responsible for any redirect fees or additional shipping charges.

1.7 Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Shipments

  • If your shipment is lost or damaged, notify us and the carrier within 48 hours of attempted delivery.
  • We will investigate and, if the carrier’s liability is confirmed, issue a replacement or refund according to the Return & Refund Policy.
