Return & Refund Policy

1.1 Eligibility for Returns

1.1.1 To initiate a return, you must notify us within 7 calendar days of delivery by emailing support@valamdesign.com with:

  • Subject: “Return Request – [Order #]”
  • Order number and date, Product name/SKU, detailed reason for return (e.g., defect, wrong size, change of mind).

1.1.2 Non-Defective “Change of Mind” Returns (Non-Custom Items Only):

  • Item must be unworn, unused, and in original packaging (box, certificates, tags intact).
  • All accessories and promotional items must accompany the return (failure to return all items may result in refusal or deduction under Section 1.2).
  • Returns do not apply to Custom Orders (see Section 1.1.3).

1.1.3 Non-Returnable Items:

  • Custom Orders (unless defective).
  • Items marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” at time of purchase.
  • Loose gemstones or clearance merchandise.

1.2 Inspection & Restocking

1.2.1 Upon receipt, our Quality Control team inspects the returned Product. If original packaging components (gift box, certificates, tags) are missing, or if the Product shows signs of wear, damage, or tampering, we reserve the right to:

  • Refuse the return outright, or
  • Apply a deduction of up to 25% of the Product value to cover restocking and refurbishment costs.

1.2.2 If we refuse the return, we will contact you at the email provided in your Return Request. You must then cover return shipping if you wish to recover your Product.

1.3 Refund Amount & Labor Charges

1.3.1 Defective Returns: If a defect is confirmed (see Product Correction Policy), we cover return shipping and refund the full Product price (excluding shipping & taxes) within 7 working days of inspection.

1.3.2 “Change of Mind” Returns (Non-Defective, Non-Custom): We deduct:

  • A flat labor/refurbishment fee of INR 500 (or USD 5/GBP 4 equivalent), and
  • Original shipping fees paid, and
  • Any customs or import duties paid on your behalf.

The remaining balance is refunded to your original payment method within 7 working days of passing inspection.

1.4 Refund Process & Timing

  • Payment Method: Refunds go back to the original payment instrument (credit card, PayPal, etc.).
  • Processing Time: Once we approve your return, funds are issued within 7 working days. Depending on your bank/processor, it may take 5–7 business days to appear on your statement.

1.5 Return of Gifts & Promotional Items

Any free items included at purchase (e.g., jewelry cleaner, gift box) must be returned unused. Failure to return these items will result in refusal of return or an equivalent deduction from your refund.
